Foster Wheeler is looking for a Principal Contracts Engineer to be a part of the Procurement Team in Chennai. The incumbent should have experience in formulation and administration of contracts in Oil & Gas projects including LNG Terminals.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Supervision and monitoring of Project Contracting philosophies & Quantity Surveying Works
- Participate in the Management Meetings to resolve Disputes & Claims
- Involve in Selection of Contract Engineers and Quantity Surveyor Works
- Assist in setting the objectives for the commercial, technical and procedural development of the Contracts Engineers & Quantity Surveyors
- Lead the teams in preparation of tender Documents and Participate in Corporate review of the Recommendations for award of contract
- Participate or lead determination of the overall Project Contracting Strategy
- Lead to Prepare Schedule of Construction Contracts and agree same with other members of the Project Operations
- Lead the team in Preparing contract documents and arrange for execution during Pre awards including but not limited to conduct evaluation /clarification meetings with Contractors, Prequalification of Contractors, Forwarding of Techno Commercial Bid Evaluation reports and Commercial Bid evaluation/award recommendation reports to Owners / Clients / FW Sr. Management / Project Management groups
- Knowledge of FIDIC terms and conditions
- Support Estimation and proposal preparations
- Lead the team in dealing with Claims Management and assist in arbitrations
- Exposure to quantity take offs for various disciplines viz Civil & Structural, Piping & E&I Works
Qualifications
- Should be a Civil / Mechanical engineer with 10 - 15 years experience in Sub contracts and Quantity Surveying works for Refineries, Oil and Gas industries, like PMC, EPCm, LSTK, re-measurable contracts
- Knowledge of international contracting procedures is desirable
- Ability to lead a team to achieve Sub Contracts & QS work
